Stern at the Midwest Gaming Classic:

For those who were able to attend this year’s Midwest Gaming Classic show, Stern Pinball and Marco Specialities were able to coordinate the largest launch of a new machine in pinball show history!  In total, there were 30 brand new Iron Maiden machines set up with an additional 20 other Stern titles on hand for all spectators to play and enjoy.

Status of Code:

We are continuously working to update and improve software for our machines.  There are always code updates and bug fixes in various stages of development; we will release them upon update completion.  Here are some of the latest updates and the status of things in the works.  As always, if you do encounter any bugs please feel free to provide information to bug.report@sternpinball.com:

  • Star Wars – We are in the final phase of testing the latest code and while we weren’t able to release it by end of last month as we hoped, we aim to release it very soon.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy – We hope you have been enjoying all of the revamped and substantial code updates released last month!  We are continually working to make this game even more fun as we get closer to 1.0.
  • Batman ’66 – Another great update was released last month and we are working towards another update later this month!
  • With the added resources to our software department, we continue to address updates, enhancements, and bug fixes while adding various polish to our catalog of previous titles including Ghostbusters, Aerosmith, and KISS.  We expect these code updates to start releasing by mid-Summer.
  • Just because a game isn’t listed on here doesn’t mean there can’t be surprises from time to time.

Accessories:

The Star Wars shooter knob accessory is now in stock and available for sale.  We will make a formal announcement once the topper is available, but it is still in the works!  All Stern accessories are available to purchase from your local retailer – http://www.sternpinball.com/find-a-retailer

Stern Pro Circuit:

Congratulations to all of the players and winners from the most recent Stern Pro Circuit event!  David Riel ended up winning the tournament at the Cactus Jack’s Silverball Showdown in Oklahoma.  The next upcoming Stern Pro Circuit event is the PinFest IFPA Pinball Tournament being held this weekend (May 4-5) in Allentown, PA.  For more information on this event please visit – http://pinfesttournament.com/

Stern Spotlight – Erik Gilly:

“Hello everyone, my name is Erik Gilly and I am the Director of Consumer Sales here at Stern Pinball! Before Stern, I worked at Bandai Namco for 6 years helping to grow the modern arcades of the world. I began this adventure with Stern last May and it’s been an absolute blast. Pinball, as you all know, continues to regain popularity month after month, and year after year. To be a part in the worldwide rise of pinball with Stern is extremely exciting and incredibly fun! In my role, I help grow and expand Stern’s network of Consumer Dealers all over the United States.

A little about myself:  I just got married last June to my beautiful wife, and we live in the western suburbs of Chicago. When I’m not at work selling pinball or playing pinball, you can usually find me at Cubs games or on the golf course!”
