Stern Pinball has announced AC/DC PRO Vault Edition.  Pictures and the information have been posted on Stern’s Facebook page.

AC/DC PRO VE has some artwork and playfield changes from the first edition of the game.  One of the changes on the playfield is the swinging bell from the original pro model which was non-moving.  It seems that Stern has removed the Angus Young face from the middle of the playfield.  The game no longer has Phil Rudd (AC/DC’s longtime drummer) on the artwork since he had some issues with the law and no longer is part of the band.

In my opinion AC/DC is too new of a game to be converting into a vault edition.  The game was released somewhere around 5 years ago, but I guess this is a good move for Stern since AC/DC was one of the best selling games for the company.  If it keeps the doors open at Stern, then I guess it’s a good idea. In my opinion, as prices continue to rise, then quality should follow.  Stern has had some terrible issues with playfield and cabinet quality in the past couple years.  If the quality continues to decline and prices rise on these games, then Stern will be losing longtime followers purchasing new in box games such as myself.  Step it up Stern and start showing that change with this game.
