The Roanoke Pinball Museum will commemorate its one-year anniversary Sunday with a tournament.
Organizers have constructed the Bumper Bash to work something like a golf tournament. Two separate groups of 30 players will take turns on nine different machines. With each machine, players will be asked to reach a designated score using as few balls as possible. The person who completes the “course” using the least number of balls wins. The museum will award first-, second- and third-place trophies.
Center in the Square opened the Roanoke Pinball Museum on its second floor in June 2015. The museum houses about 50 machines, which visitors can play an unlimited number of times after paying an admission fee. Members can play free all year.
