The Silverball Pinball Museum : Asbury Park NJ

Recently I took a trip to the Silverball Museum after work to play a few games.  I have been to the museum a number of times, but this time I decided to make a video of the games and arcade.  The games were in really good shape the day that I went. (Friday 24th, 2014). I don’t believe I saw one machine turned off because of maintenance issues.  All the games I played were in really good working order.  Considering the amount of plays these machines get, the staff does a great job maintaining and cleaning every machine.

The lineup of games vary at the museum.  The museum has a great inventory of EM games and also many of the more recent solid state games available from Williams and Stern. The inventory also consisted of The Wizard of Oz and a newly acquired Safe Cracker.  Silverball also has some great vintage coin-op baseball and golf games. Also other games at the museum consist of skeetball, dome hockey, about 10 video games, and air hockey for your enjoyment.

Also food is available at the front desk.  They have a wide variety of finger foods and soda to purchase.  The list consists of

  • Tomato Pie
  • Pepperoni Tomato Pie
  • Nathan’s Hot Dogs
  • Jumbo Soft Pretzels
  • Funnel Cakes
  • Jersey Shore Fry Co. French Fries
  • Cluck U Chicken – boneless tenders OR bone in wings – all available with Cluck U sauces
  • Mozzarella Sticks
  • Nachos & Cheese
  • Salt Water Taffy & a wide selection of Candies
  • Ice Cream
  • Non – Alcoholic Beverages & More!

The staff are very nice and helpful if questions need to be answered.  The price to enter is $10 for one hour, $20 for an entire day, and after 4pm $10 for the entire night.  It is a great price to play a lot of great games.

The great thing about the museum is that it is only 40 minutes from my home.

I would recommend everyone visiting The Silverball Musuem for a great time to play some wonderful maintained games.
